This position performs technical rope skills used in canyoneering, climbing or mountaineering. Incumbent must have the skills to independently: complete and lead canyoneering or climbing routes, ascend and descend ropes, create and evaluate anchors. Sufficient experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume, or other supporting documentation, to evaluate this requirement. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position.

Successful completion of at least a 4-year (120 semester/180 quarter credits) course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with 24 semester/36 quarter hours of related course work in: natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above.
