Job description

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a 150-acre interactive theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. With more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, and uniquely themed LEGOLAND Water Park, LEGOLAND Hotel, and LEGOLAND Beach Resort inspired by the LEGO and DUPLO brands, LEGOLAND is geared towards family fun!

About the role...

Maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by effective implementation of all safety and security procedures. Is proactive in all loss control programs.

What you’ll be doing...

1. Secure facilities, equipment and other assets to prevent loss and/or damage.
2. Monitor surveillance equipment, access and exit points to prevent loss of assets, and unauthorized access to property.
3. Inspect buildings and equipment in line with Department and Park policies and procedures.
4. Prevent loss and damage by responding to emergencies, reporting irregularities, enforcing Park policies and procedures, and restricting access to trespassers.
5. Assist in investigations, complete thorough written reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviews witnesses, and obtains photographs.
6. Dispatch and respond to radio calls in the park for Security needs and emergencies.
7. Assist with monthly inspections of Park fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
8. Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement and emergency response personnel.
9. Provide excellent guest service to Park guests and fellow MCs.

Who we’re looking for...

At least one year of security and/or law enforcement experience is preferred. Requires excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), excellent reasoning ability and interpersonal skills. Leads by example with a demonstrated history of supporting colleagues, a team player. Strong problem-solving skills and dedicated to providing outstanding Guest Service. Requires the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior family theme park experience is helpful. Class D License is recommended. Requires the ability to successfully complete CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid training.

Education:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent is required. Some college course work is preferred.

Physical Demands:

1. Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site and interact with guests and employees.
2. Ability to climb stairs/ladders to gain access to upper level of buildings.
3. Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.
4. Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials to complete paperwork activities and to drive.
5. Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.

Work Environment:

Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

Other Job Requirements:

1. Performs other duties as assigned.
2. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnight, and weekends to support park operations.
3. Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
4. Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.

Salary Range:

$13.50/hr
