Job summary

Florence County's Independence Farm Park is seeking a dedicated Park Ranger to enforce park rules, assist visitors, and help maintain facilities and grounds.

You will patrol, perform custodial tasks, assist with event setup, and ensure safety by supervising activities and coordinating with the Park Ranger Supervisor. A valid SC driver's license and First Aid/CPR certification are required or obtainable after hire.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of general maintenance experience.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license and ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
• Understanding of park natural areas and resources is desired.
• Ability to operate park equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Patrol park to enforce rules and safeguard facilities.
• Perform custodial duties to keep park facilities clean and safe.
• Conduct walk-throughs with supervisor to identify maintenance needs.
• Prepare facilities for events and check-in guests; secure buildings after events.
• Collect fees and reconcile funds.
• Operate equipment as needed.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information to visitors.
