Job summary

Prince William County Government's Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a Park Ranger to protect park resources and enhance visitor safety, while delivering outstanding customer service. You will patrol 81 parks and facilities, address safety concerns, and coordinate with PWCPD for events or incidents.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of related public-facing experience, and a valid driver's license with the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year educating, directing, or dealing with the public.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Pass DPR/DMV background checks and fingerprinting as required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Prince William County parks and facilities to protect resources.
• Address safety concerns and assist visitors with outstanding service.
• Coordinate with Prince William County Police for criminal incidents.
• Produce written reports to document enforcement actions.
