Job summary

The State of Oklahoma’s DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND RECREATION is seeking a Park Manager for Quartz Mountain to lead park operations, staff, and visitor services. You will manage budgets, build partnerships, and promote community engagement while ensuring safe, well-maintained facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in park management and finance, and the ability to guide a team and coordinate across departments. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Park Administration or Management, Criminal Justice, Natural Resource Management or a closely related field.
• Two years of experience in Park Management or Operations, Business Administration, Building and Grounds Maintenance, General Construction, or Natural Resources Management or Operations.
• Valid Driver’s License and knowledge of park management, business administration, personnel and financial management.
• Experience supervising a team and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, well-maintained park facilities with trained staff.
• Operate within budget constraints and maintain fiscal control and accountability.
• Provide park visitor services, promote partnerships, and lead marketing efforts.
• Oversee natural resource protection and environmental education.
• Analyze financial information to manage the park’s operating budget.
