Job summary

City of Johnson City, Tennessee seeks a Part-Time Park Attendant for the Parks & Recreation trail operation division. The role involves routine, unskilled cleaning tasks and general maintenance under supervision. Employee will perform building cleaning, grounds upkeep and assist with events and activities.

The position requires completion of high school or GED and some cleaning experience. A pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check are required; wage is $15.76 per hour.

Qualifications

• Some working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to use them economically and efficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions.
• Thoroughness and reliability in completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash windows and polish furniture.
• Clean bathrooms and remove trash.
• Perform minor building repairs and maintain equipment.
• Set up tables, chairs and supplies for events and activities.
• Perform grounds maintenance including lawn care and snow removal.
