Job summary

The Office of State Parks in Louisiana is seeking a Park Assistant Manager for Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton. You will assist the Park Manager in operations, fiscal management, personnel, maintenance, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in park operations, administration, or maintenance.
• Three years of experience in law enforcement, interpretive services, mobile equipment operation, or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee park facilities upkeep and grounds operations.
• Plan and promote park programs and events.
• Inspect facilities to ensure safety and compliance.
• Manage park operating budget and expenditures.
• Oversee revenue collection and deposits.
• Prepare operational reports for decision-making.
• Coordinate major maintenance and capital projects.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and partners to promote safety.
• Represent the park to community groups and external agencies.
• Develop project plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Schedule staff shifts and provide day-to-day leadership.
