Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the operation, administration, or maintenance of parks or related fields.
• Or four years in law enforcement, interpretive services, mobile equipment operation, building construction or maintenance.
• Experience substitution: every 30 semester hours earned substitutes for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and care of site facilities.
• Approves and promotes site programming/events.
• Performs regular park and playground inspections.
• Manages park facility expenditures.
• Coordinates major park maintenance or construction projects.
• Works with local law enforcement to control violence and vandalism.
• Collaborates with other sections and contractors on facilities.
• Engages with community groups on park matters.
• Prepares plans, specs, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Serves as liaison for the site with outside agencies.
• Prepares and administers the site budget.
• Accounts for revenue from day use and overnight fees.
• Prepares weekly fiscal, revenue, and visitation reports.
• Schedules work assignments and directs staff.
• Evaluates staff performance and training needs.
