Job description

If so, join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Trough Creek State Park team and provide semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance of district roads, trails and facilities. This position is part of the Canoe Creek State Park Complex, however, the reporting location will be Trough Creek State Park.




In this role, you will perform semi-skilled work alone, assists a skilled trades worker, or functions as lead worker for a small crew of manual workers performing routine tasks. Work involves the use of a variety of construction, grounds keeping and maintenance equipment and tools, which frequently requires the application of skills acquired on the job. Minor repairs and routine grounds keeping and custodial duties are performed with considerable independence and reviewed upon completion. More advanced construction or repair work is performed under the direction of a skilled trades worker or supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal full-time position.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, 5 days/37.5 hours a week to include holidays and weekends.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
