Job summary

Clayton County Parks and Recreation is seeking a Maintenance Aide (Part Time) for the International Park Division to perform routine maintenance on ball fields, pools, tennis courts, and other park facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety for residents.

Duties include field grooming, trash removal, restroom cleaning, landscape upkeep, basic repairs to fences and water lines, and assisting with program setups. A high school diploma or GED and a Georgia driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Four months of experience and/or training in landscaping maintenance and general maintenance.
• Experience with equipment operation.
• Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Drags and relines fields, maintains ball fields, pools and tennis courts, and grounds.
• Maintains cleanliness of facilities, restrooms, offices, and parking areas; manages trash and basic upkeep.
• Performs carpentry, plumbing and concrete work; repairs fences and water lines as needed.
• Sets up rooms for programs, unlocks and secures doors, and assists with event preparations.
