Job summary

The Central Park Conservancy in New York City is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform landscape care, maintenance and operation of equipment within an assigned section of Landscape Management. You will work under supervision of the Foreperson and collaborate with staff to maintain facilities and green spaces across the park.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation maintenance, pruning, plant bed care, snow removal, and assisting with special events as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant experience in landscaping or park maintenance required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general landscape care within an assigned section.
• Mow, trim, mulch, rake, prune and maintain beds and surrounding landscapes.
• Operate and maintain equipment including utility vehicles and tractors.
• Support waste management and cleanliness in landscapes and paths.
• Maintain athletic fields and perform snow removal and ice mitigation as needed.
• Report infrastructure and safety hazards and assist in events.
