Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in parks/landscaping or related field.
• Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree Preferred) in horticulture or closely related field.
• Knowledge of trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscaping best practices; ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise work crews performing planning and coordination of planting annuals and perennials city-wide.
• Provide plans and specifications for planting beds and plantings; guide repair and maintenance of plants and equipment.
• Oversee bidding, selection, and planting of seasonal flora; ensure timely maintenance of parks and facilities.
• Ensure safety, record-keeping, and payroll duties for assigned personnel.
• Oversee and assist with event prep, playground inspections, and maintenance of park infrastructure.
