Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism is seeking a full-time Park Maintenance worker to keep Table Rock State Park facilities and grounds in top condition. Responsibilities include repairs, operation of park equipment, and assisting with park operations and safety compliance.

Candidate will perform carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping tasks and support routine groundskeeping, trail work, and visitor services as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of general maintenance experience.
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and upkeep of state parks, including repair and construction of facilities.
• Operate and repair motorized equipment; maintain records of maintenance.
• Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance programs, including inventory of tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures; use PPE; support safety program goals.
• Assist in maintenance and construction of the park's trail system.
• Perform various repairs (carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping).
• Perform housekeeping and clean-up to maintain park grounds and facilities.
