Job summary

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is seeking an EMT to provide medical care to guests and staff, respond to first aid calls, and manage emergencies within the park. The role requires active EMT certification in California, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

You will perform audits, maintain equipment, document incidents, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure rapid, safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be available at least 3 days a week, including weekends.
• Ability to evaluate complex emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Ability to follow directions and signage.
• Ability to interview all parties involved in incidents.
• Ability to use emergency medical equipment proficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs within EMT scope and regulations including confidentiality and risk management.
• Provide medical care to guests and team members within scope of training.
• Respond to First Aid calls and manage situations with safety in mind.
• Provide competent patient care for all ages and conditions served by the park.
• Triaging, providing first aid, and referring to outside providers when needed.
• Complete documentation for all patients and incidents per policy.
• Conduct daily facility audits and report safety discrepancies.
• Inspect, test, and maintain life safety and emergency equipment.
• Investigate fire and hazmat events following procedures.
• Collaborate with departments to streamline response procedures.
• Monitor medical supply inventory levels.
• Manage workers’ compensation processes for injuries.
• Maintain clean patient rooms, supply areas, and walkways.
