Job summary

The State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to care for, maintain and beautify an assigned park area, playground or gymnasium. You may operate a power mower and perform related duties as assigned.

You must have legal authorization to work in the United States; no prior experience required; knowledge of care of shrubs, flowers, trees and lawns; ability to follow written and oral instructions; and a valid driver's license at appointment.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience: None required.
• Knowledge of care and cultivation of shrubs, flowers, trees and lawns; operation and care of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions; operate hand and power equipment and tools used in grounds maintenance; learn pertinent rules and regulations and enforce them with tact and courtesy.
