Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking an Automotive Technician I to maintain golf carts, mowers, and related equipment at Lincoln Homestead State Park in Springfield, KY. The role is full-time with comprehensive state benefits.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, while keeping logs and upholding a safe working environment. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Two years of automotive and/or equipment repair technical experience.
• Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment and maintain required licensure or credentials for length of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment; inspect diesel and gas vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep logs.
