Job summary

City of St. George seeks a part-time staff member to assist in developing and managing park/leisure programs and events under the supervision of the Parks or Recreation Supervisor. Responsibilities include training staff, overseeing safety, and coordinating facility operations.

The role requires working weekends/evenings, with seasonal hours, and involves money handling, customer service, and light supervision of volunteers and part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreation programs or supervisory roles preferred.
• Cash handling or money management experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of part-time Park Attraction Attendants, Cashiers and Ride Operators during assigned shifts.
• Provide leadership by taking charge of specific parts of an assigned program, event, or facility operation.
• Help run youth programs, adult programs and/or special events as needed.
• Assist in the initial and ongoing training of Park Attraction Attendants, Park Cashiers and Ride Operators.
• Oversee safety and security of supplies; request equipment as needed.
• Inspect facility at start of shifts and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Enforce facility rules and report infractions.
