The Office of State Parks (OSP) in Louisiana seeks a Park Assistant Manager at Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego, LA. This role supports the Park Manager in operations, budgeting, personnel, maintenance, and visitor services, driving safe, welcoming experiences for guests.

This position is located at Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, LA. The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary assistant to the Park Manager in the management and administration of the site's operations, fiscal management, personnel, maintenance, customer service, interpretive, and facility management activities.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

As a Park Assistant Manager, You Will Play a Vital Role In Ensuring Visitors Enjoy a Safe, Welcoming, And Memorable Experience While Preserving Louisiana's Natural And Cultural Resources. In This Role, You Will:
Location: Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, LA
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotion, or Detail to Special Duty
Work Schedule: State Parks are open 365 days a year. Position will work a rotating schedule of 40 hours/week, which can include holidays and/or weekends as needed, to ensure coverage at the park.
Travel: Position requires driving around the park as part of the daily shift. Travel may be required to other state parks to assist in staffing or events, as needed. A state vehicle is available for employee use while on duty.
