Job summary

City Of Gainesville, FL seeks a Community Builder to support daily operations at Northside Park. You will assist park users, checkout equipment, monitor activity, record attendance and report maintenance or safety concerns.

The role requires independence, professional interaction with the public, and availability for evenings, weekends and holidays. Work is outdoors in a non climate-controlled setting with light cleaning and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma with 1 year recreation experience.
• Valid Florida Driver License within 30 days of appointment.
• American Red Cross First Aid, AED and CPR certification required within 6 months.
• Knowledge of computers and related software; ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Distributes equipment for programs and events; records attendance and participation.
• Maintains order and discipline; checks equipment for cleanliness and proper function.
• Instructs participants in activities; assists with setup and cleanup as needed.
