Job summary

The City of Gainesville is seeking a Community Builder to support daily operations at Northside Park. You will assist park users, check out equipment, track attendance, and report maintenance concerns to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Requires a high school diploma and one year of recreation experience; a Florida driver license is required within 30 days. Certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED within six months are required, with WSI/LG CYSA within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience in recreation work.
• Valid Florida Driver License required within 30 days of appointment.
• Certifications in First Aid, AED, CPR within six months; WSI, LG Instructor, CYSA within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with questions and facility needs.
• Distribute equipment for programs and events.
• Record attendance and participation for programs and events.
• Maintain order and discipline at the facility.
• Check equipment for cleanliness and proper working order.
• Inject instruction in sewing, ceramics, arts and crafts, dancing, and games.
