Job summary

The Diocese of Corpus Christi is seeking a qualified Groundskeeper to perform general maintenance on parish grounds at the Corpus Christi location. You will carry out minor repairs, inspect buildings, and coordinate with pastors and vendors; must be able to work indoors and outdoors, and be available on call.

This role requires a high school diploma, maintenance experience, and ability to lift 10 pounds or more. Valid Texas driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Must be available to work on call and lift 10 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the Catholic ministry and the Diocesan mission.
• Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical and carpentry work.
• Inspect buildings and report major issues to Pastor/Pastoral Assistant.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on HVAC and general facilities.
• Work with volunteers and vendors; coordinate on-call duties.
• Operate tools and equipment safely in various weather conditions.
