Job summary

Diocese of Richmond - Catholic Community Foundation seeks an Advancement Officer for Parishes to drive parish fundraising, Planned Giving, and donor stewardship across multiple Virginia regions. You will collaborate with pastors, volunteers, and donors to maximize philanthropic impact for parish life and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of demonstrated fund development experience.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; Raiser's Edge preferred but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with donors and volunteers.
• Strong communication skills, storytelling and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Work with Director of Development on capital campaign fundraising and operations at parish level.
• Consult with parishes to increase annual offertory and year-round stewardship efforts.
• Conduct planned giving education for parishioners across sizes.
• Assist parishes in major gift opportunities and donor research.
• Support Annual Diocesan Appeal efforts and provide on-site leadership at parishes.
• Travel frequently to Virginia parishes to provide leadership.
• Attend regional and national conferences to advance fundraising best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
