Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated seeks a Mutuel Cashier at its Fair Grounds Race Course/Slots/OTB & Casinos in New Orleans. The role handles pari-mutuel wagering transactions and cash, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate daily cash reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Pari-mutuel and cash handling experience is desirable but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a Racing License from the Louisiana Racing Commission.

Responsibilities

• Process customer wagering transactions and vouchers through a totalizator terminal with accuracy.
• Account for all monies, vouchers, and coupons and reconcile cash handling at shift start and end.
• Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Disseminate accurate and real-time racing and wagering information to customers and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment and good customer relations.
• Respond to customer needs and requests quickly and efficiently, resolving disputes when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
