JOB SUMMARY:
Provides excellent service to customers who place a bet in Race wagering as well as the Sports Book operations. Ensure that all customers understand the various type of wagers, displays patience with novice customers, and engages in friendly conversations with all customers. Processes all cash transactions quickly and accurately.

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma required. At least 6 months previous cash handling experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
REQUIRED PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
Responsible for fostering a fun environment. Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures that behavior and appearance comply with established standards. Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission. Must qualify for obtain and maintain a License from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (minimum 4-6 hours). Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Responds to visual and aural cues.Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
