Qualifications

• Genuinely enjoys working with children ages 15 months–4 years.
• Warm, energetic, patient, and encouraging.
• Comfortable teaching with parents and caregivers participating in the classroom.
• Understands toddlers are unpredictable and can adjust activities as needed.
• Keeps young children engaged through movement, music, imagination, props, and play.
• Creates a welcoming environment for children and caregivers.
• Dependable, organized, and respectful of schedules.
• Leads with kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
• Follows an established curriculum while bringing personal energy.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging Parent & Me classes using the established curriculum and playlists.
• Guide caregivers in how to participate and assist their child throughout class.
• Introduce young dancers to rhythm, counting, creative movement, and basic dance concepts.
• Incorporate music, imagination, props, and age-appropriate activities.
• Help children practice classroom skills such as listening, taking turns, sharing, and following directions.
• Create a positive first experience with dance for both child and caregiver.
• Adapt activities as needed based on energy and needs of each group.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate professionally with families and the Showcase Dance Studio team.
