Description: Licensed Parent Educator for Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE). The role involves planning and facilitating parent education classes, collaborating with staff, creating a supportive learning environment, and providing resources to families. The position requires a Minnesota teaching license, fluency in Spanish, and experience with diverse families.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate parent education classes using the Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework.
  • Collaborate on curriculum development based on research-based best practices.
  • Create a climate of trust, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Model positive parenting skills and provide resource information to families.
  • Foster teamwork and community relationships within the classroom and beyond.
  • Utilize technology to enhance instruction and accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide an optimal learning environment for adult learners and students.
  • Seek professional growth opportunities and adhere to program guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the program director.
Qualifications
  • Current Minnesota Parent Education teaching license.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Knowledge of parent education, adult learning, and curriculum frameworks.
  • Effective working with children and parents, including multicultural families.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Smartboard programs.
