Job summary

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Parent Aide/Educator to support children, youth, and families in New Hampshire. The role reports to the Clinical Supervisor and partners with the treatment team to deliver in-home services per DCYF referrals.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documenting assessments, and providing parent education and supervised visitation. Evening hours and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 4 years minimum experience in home or community setting.
  • Associates degree with 2 years minimum experience in home or community setting preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle access.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. No visa sponsorship.
  • Access to high speed, secure internet required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned caseload and implement in-home services per DCYF referrals.
  • Collaborate with DCYF to respond to referrals and create treatment plans.
  • Develop treatment plans with measurable family goals with DCYF partnership.
  • Adhere to documentation requirements including assessments and reports.
  • Progress reporting to the court system via in-person appearances and reports.
  • Provide parent education and supervised visitation to families.
  • Offer parent coaching and support including parenting strategies and healthcare needs.
  • Enforce supervised visitation to ensure child safety.
  • Interface with DCYF, NH courts, schools and other providers for quality service.
  • Assess client risk and consult supervisor on safety concerns.
  • Transport clients, including child/adult, with car seat/booster installation.
  • On-call rotation to support families; respond to calls as needed.
  • Evening availability; visits in afternoons/early evenings; schedule subject to client needs.
  • Document all clinical contacts using Electronic Health System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

The Parent Aide/Educator will report to the Clinical Supervisor. In collaboration with other members of the clinical team, the case manager is responsible for serving as a liaison for the treatment team, client, families and collateral service providers.

Positions are available NOW throughout New Hampshire!

Responsibilities
  • Maintains assigned caseload and ensures the proper implementation of in-home services in accordance with referrals made by DCYF.
  • Works collaboratively with DCYF to respond to referral requests, create treatment plans, participate in treatment meetings, and provide regular service specific documentation.
  • Develops and collaborates on treatment plan formation with measurable and attainable goals in partnership with families and DCYF.
  • Adheres to all documentation requirements of service delivery including assessment writing and report writing.
  • Participates in reporting progress to the court system through in person appearances and written reporting as requested.
  • Provides parent education and supervised visitation to children, adults, and families in home and community-based settings.
  • Offers parent coaching and support including provision of effective parenting strategies, meeting healthcare and educational needs of children, understanding developmental milestones, meal preparation and budgeting.
  • Enforces supervised visitation expectations as identified by DCYF to ensure child safety.
  • Interfaces with DCYF, the NH court system, schools, behavioral health providers, and any other involved members of the treatment team as necessary to provide quality service delivery.
  • Successfully assesses client risk on an ongoing basis and consult with clinical supervisor regarding any safety concerns.
  • Transportation of clients, including children and adults, requiring car seat and booster seat installation.
  • On-call rotation: responsible for responding to phone to provide support to families as utilized.
  • Early evening availability required for working hours. Most visits to clients are in the afternoon or early evenings. Must have flexible availability to work due to this. Schedule/hours are subject to our clients needs.
  • Ability to successfully document all clinical contacts and documentation through Electronic Health System.
  • Other duties as assigned.
