Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with an acceptable driving record and background verification.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and demonstrated ability to operate and drive transit vehicles in a safe manner.
• Ability to interface positively with passengers and the general public, as well as supervisor and management.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Maintaining logs and records, regular attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate paratransit vehicle safely according to manifest and conditions.
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and reports as required.
• Assist passengers, including wheelchair securements and boarding assistance, with courtesy.
• Maintain ridership logs, mileage, fares, and vehicle reports as required by policy.
• Respond to emergencies and comply with ADA requirements and safety procedures.
