Job summary

rabbittransit Cumberland Paratransit Driver (Non CDL) / Porter is a full-time role based in Carlisle, PA, delivering safe, courteous transportation for elderly and disabled passengers while performing routine vehicle cleaning and maintenance.

The position requires readiness to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class C with a Passenger endorsement within the first year of employment, and offers a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and common sense to transportation services.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with courteous interactions.
• Ability to understand and follow English oral and written instructions and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate van/bus to transport passengers safely and courteously per daily manifest.
• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Assist passengers including wheelchair securements and fare handling.
• Communicate via radio; follow emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform general servicing and cleaning of vehicles and facilities as per plan.
