Job summary

West Texas Opportunities, Inc. seeks a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for agency clients, including individuals with disabilities and older adults, across a 17-county service region.

Responsibilities include operating agency vehicles, assisting passengers, performing pre-trip inspections, documenting trips, logging fares, and adhering to DOT, safety, and HIPAA policies; shifts 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• MinimumRequirements: Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Must hold a valid Texas Class C driver license with a good driving record.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to clients Monday through Saturday, including holidays, with shifts from 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Drive within local communities and to larger regional cities within the service area.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle and operate vehicles safely at all times.
• Log trips accurately and complete required incident reports.
• Complete all required agency trainings, including safety, HIPAA, and ADA compliance.
