Job summary

Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) in Glenwood Springs, CO, seeks a Non-CDL Bus Operator (Paratransit) to provide safe, courteous transport for passengers with ADA accessibility needs. You will operate paratransit vehicles, assist riders, and maintain on-board equipment across varied weather and traffic conditions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred) and at least 21 years of age with five years of licensed driving experience.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse passengers.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times.
• Safely operate paratransit vehicles on assigned routes and schedules.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking and ensure ADA compliance.
• Monitor schedules using tablets/radios and communicate with dispatch.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report any vehicle defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of the vehicle.
