Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions Inc. is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students and educators in a Wisconsin school throughout the school year.

The position offers an hourly rate of $18.00–$28.00 and involves assisting with IEPs/BIPs, providing targeted student support, and collaborating with licensed staff to promote student success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligible to obtain a Wisconsin DPI Special Education Program Aide license with district approval.
  • For Title I assignments, an associate degree, two years of college, or approved assessment may be required.
  • Must meet background-check, fingerprinting, and district clearance requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students and educators in a Wisconsin school throughout the school year.

Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist special education teachers with implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs under the direction of licensed staff.
  • Assist with adapting classroom materials and activities based on individual student needs and teacher guidance.
  • Support students with communication, mobility, social-emotional development, and daily living skills.
  • Reinforce positive behavior strategies and assist with classroom management.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, recess areas, and other school settings.
  • Collect and document data related to student progress, behavior, and IEP goals as directed by the supervising teacher.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals to promote student success.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Special Education Program Aide license, with the required recommendation from the employing school district or Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA).
  • For assignments subject to Title I paraprofessional requirements, an associate degree, completion of two years of higher education, or successful completion of an approved assessment may be required.
  • Ability to meet all applicable background-check, fingerprinting, and district clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience supporting students with disabilities in a school, childcare, behavioral health, or similar setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training or comparable district-approved crisis prevention and intervention training.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.
