ABOUT THIS JOB:

We are looking for playful, high-energy staff seeking full-time employment at the Pearland Location. You must have a passion for helping kids learn and have fun! You will lead educational activities and games, ensuring all safety rules are followed. We also take our kids on field trips! ABOUT SOS:

Success On The Spectrum is a learning center for children with Autism. We assign one 'teacher' (behavior technician) per child. We teach children to talk, pretend play, feed themselves, and make friends.

SOS provides hands-on training, weekly team trainings, and quarterly in-service training days. We cover costs for you to become a registered behavior technician, obtain CPR certification, and QBS Safety Care Certification.

Staff members receive performance reviews every 6 months. Behavior Technicians have opportunities for promotion into Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or a Trainer role.

If you wish to advance further in the ABA field, SOS will support your journey to become a BCBA! We have partnerships with universities nationwide, offering discounted tuition and free practicum supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Work in the center Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 4:00 pm.
  • Up to two evenings per week, work in clients' homes from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
  • Implement lesson plans created by the BCBA.
  • Incorporate sensory activities into lessons (arts, crafts, activities, games).
  • Record notes into the software.
  • Perform general end-of-day cleaning duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma (College degree preferred).
  • No criminal background.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift at least 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and be physically active.
