Job summary

Peabody Public Schools in Peabody, MA is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Special Education TLC Program, 30 hours per week, with an immediate start. You will assist students individually, in small groups, or in large groups, using a variety of strategies to reinforce learning and support classroom instruction.

Required: a high school diploma or equivalent, and an Associate's degree (or 48 college credits) or completion of a MA-endorsed assessment (Parapro or WorkKeys).

Paraprofessional Special Education TLC Program 30 hours per week

• Assist students individually, in small groups, or in a large group, utilizing a variety of strategies and techniques to present or reinforce learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• CPI training (crisis prevention intervention training) must be successfully completed in the Paraprofessionals first year
• A high school diploma or equivalent; and an Associate'sdegree (or higher); or completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; or completion of a formal Massachusetts endorsed assessment: Parapro or WorkKeys.
• Ability to use or willingness to learn appropriate technology
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

• Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement
