Job summary

Montgomery ISD is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom. You will assist with physical and instructional activities, aid in self-help and behavior management, and work under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include implementing classroom programs, following directions, and maintaining classroom routines within a 187-day schedule. The role is paid on a Pay Grade 4/Clerical/Paraprofessional Hiring Schedule.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two years of higher education.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

Education/Certification

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning*
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment
