Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support behavior-analytic services under the close supervision of a BCBA in classroom and home settings. The RBT directly implements interventions and does not design plans.

The supervisor determines tasks based on training and competence. Applicants should meet paraprofessional requirements and be willing to complete the required 40-hour training to obtain RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass or be eligible for the GACE para assessment, or have 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours with a grade of C or better, or hold an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Must obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate and complete RBT certification requirements.
• 0–1 year of experience preferred in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Behavior Interventionist in preparing educational materials and data collection materials.
• Assist with behavior reduction assessments or skill acquisition plans.
• Assist with addressing social skills instruction.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with implementation of students' Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as assigned by the BI in school and home settings.
• Complete PCI (Positive Crisis Intervention) physical management training provided by the District.
• Participate in required additional training related to behavior analytic services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by SEC Administrator (Behavior Interventionists, Coordinators and/or Directors).
