Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) paraprofessional to support BCBA-supervised behavior-analytic services in classroom and home settings. The role focuses on direct implementation, not design of plans, and requires completion of the 40-hour RBT training for certification.

Responsibilities include assisting with data collection, behavior reduction or skill acquisition plans, and supporting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BI guidance, in school and home

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass GACE para assessment or have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate and complete RBT certification.
• 0–1 year experience required.

• Assist the Behavior Interventionist with behavior reduction assessments or skill acquisition plans
• Assist with addressing social skills instruction
• Works individually with students and/or in small groups to help reinforce learning objectives
• Assists with implementation of students’ Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as assigned by the BI (in school and home settings)
• Completes the PCI (Positive Crisis Intervention) physical management training provided by the District
• Participates in required additional training related to behavior analytic services when applicable
• Performs other duties as assigned by SEC Administrator (Behavior Interventionists, Coordinators and/or Directors)

Required Education

Must pass the GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE Assessment and have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of a grade of C or better; hold an Associate's Degree or higher at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution is acceptable

Certification/Licensure

Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate; Must complete RBT certification requirements

Experience Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately
