Academies of Math and Science in Tucson, AZ seeks a Paraprofessional (Teacher’s Assistant) for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support classroom instruction, supervise activities, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent (or higher), the paraprofessional exam, and the ability to obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher advantageous.
• Must have passed the paraprofessional exam.
• Ability to obtain Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and support campus-wide activities (lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal) to ensure student safety.
• Support lead teachers in delivering instruction and managing transitions.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce skills and support individualized learning plans.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Substitute for lead teachers as needed to ensure continuous learning.
• Prepare instructional materials and grade/document as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet students’ academic and social-emotional needs.
