Job summary

White Bear Lake Area Schools is seeking a paraprofessional for Multilingual Learners at White Bear Lake Area High School. The role supports ML students under the supervision of the ML teacher, assisting individuals and small groups as needed.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED; an AA/AS degree is preferred. Experience with secondary students and bilingual ability are valued. Training in blood-borne pathogens is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates/technical degree preferred.
• Must hold AA/AS degree, have completed 60 semester credits or pass MN Parapro test.
• Training in Blood Borne Pathogens.

Position Summary: Performs intermediate student support work assisting the classroom ML teacher by working with students individually or in small groups, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of building administration.

Education and /or Experience: High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates/Technical degree preferred.
