Job summary

New Prague is seeking a paraprofessional for our WRAP Preschool Child Care Program at Central Education Campus. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., on all student days plus selected non-school days.

You will help supervise children, set up daily routines, and support the WRAP Lead while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license.
• Experience with children, especially with disabilities, preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

JOB SUMMARY:As a paraprofessional in our WRAP Preschool Child Care Program, you will play a key role in overseeing daily activities. This includes engaging with the children, setting up the site for daily routines, enforcing program behavior rules and safety guidelines, and offering support to the WRAP Lead.

Work Requirements and Characteristics:

Education/Certification/Licensure:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Minnesota driver's license

Experience:

• Previous experience in working with children, specifically with disabilities, preferred

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and ability to apply basic computer, math and language skills
• Ability to work well with students and staff
• Ability to work with children of various ability levels
• Knowledge of district discipline policy
• Knowledge and application of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training if required by the position
• Position requires exercising confidentiality in handling district information
