Kids' Company & Early Learning is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Eagle View Elementary program in Minnesota. You will assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children and help educate parents to strengthen the parent-child relationship as part of district objectives.

Daily responsibilities include supervising children, facilitating activities, and promoting positive behaviors, with a focus on social-emotional development and a safe classroom

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred 1040 contact hours via district training, experience, or coursework.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 90 days.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Minnesota driver’s license.
  • Previous experience with children is preferred (1–3 years in early childhood/youth programming).

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in the instruction and implementation of developmentally appropriate educational opportunities and curriculum to preschool age children that develops the whole child (cognitive, social emotional, language/communication, and physical development) while supporting and educating the parents to create a stronger parent child relationship so that the overall district educational objectives may be achieved.

JOB SUMMARY:

A Paraprofessional with the Kids' Company program supports the program's daily operations by fostering a safe, structured, and engaging environment for enrolled children. Key responsibilities include supervising and interacting with children, facilitating choice-based activities, and monitoring interactions to encourage positive behaviors. This role also provides targeted support to students' social and emotional development, offering assistance to children who may need additional guidance. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to nurturing each child's growth are essential for success in this position.

WORK REQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Education/Certification/Licensure:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Could be a high school student
  • Completion of a 1040 child contact hours using a combination of district training programs, experience, and coursework of an equivalent nature and level to perform the requirements of the work.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to become certified within the first 90 days of employment
  • Valid Minnesota Driver's License
Experience:
  • Prior experience working with children is preferred
  • 1-3 years of early childhood or youth programming experience preferred
