Under the direction of the Principal, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment in English and a designated second language; serve as an interpreter for a variety of meetings, workshops, conferences and special events for personnel, parents and students; tutor individual or small groups of student; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation lesson plans; proctor and administer various tests and assessments; provide a variety of routine clerical support.
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent GED and some experience working with children in a learning or organized setting. Incumbents must meet requirements specified under every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). In addition, must meet on of the following:
Speak, read and write in English and a designated second language.
