Job summary

Hope is seeking a Full-Time Paraprofessional in Springfield, IL to support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and perform data tracking and entry. This role requires meeting IEP goals and guiding student independence within the classroom schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or higher, Illinois paraprofessional licensure, and a valid IL driver’s license, with background clearance and routine screenings. Also, lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Hold or attain a Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
• Valid Illinois Driver's license.
• Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
• Provide instruction and assistance that meets students' Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
• Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
• Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.

Hourly Rate: $17.15- $18.80

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
