The Eastern Upper Peninsula AppliTrack Consortium is looking for a Paraprofessional to provide support to students in Special Education. The Paraprofessional will assist students with physical tasks and emotional support to maximize their learning experience.

General Summary
The paraprofessional will work closely with one or a few students on a regular basis to provide them with physical help and emotional support needed to gain the full benefits from their educational placement under the direction of the supervising teacher(s).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk or stand. The employee may be required to offer physical assistance including toileting or diapering, and may also be required to restrain a child.
The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk; use fingers, hands and arms as required; frequently stoop, crouch, or kneel; and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with time constraints.
Compensation is per Tahquamenon Area Schools Support Personnel Association agreement, with a starting wage currently $16.00 per hour.
