Position Title: Paraprofessional

Qualifications: At least twenty years of age; High school diploma or its equivalent; Two years of college (48 credit hours) or Associates Degree from an Institute or higher ed; APPLICANTS MUST BE HIGHLY QUALIFIED AS REQUIRED BY THE NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT

Terms of Employment: Nine (9) Months

Reports to: Teacher and Principal

Job Goal: To assist teachers in improving competencies in all areas of instruction

Occupational Characteristics: Strength: Exert force of 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Other Physical Demands: Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, near acuity (under 20 inches), far acuity (over 20 feet), depth perception, accommodation (focal length change), color vision, field of vision (peripheral vision). Environmental Conditions: Noise Intensity Level - Moderate
