Job summary

Academies of Math and Science in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Paraprofessional (Teacher’s Assistant) for the 2026-2027 school year. Located at 434 W Lerdo Rd, the role starts in the 2026-2027 school year with compensation starting at $15.50–$17.00 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and passed the paraprofessional exam or a college degree.
• Prior experience working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to obtain a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support with campus-wide activities to ensure student safety.
• Support lead teachers in delivering instruction and classroom management.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce skills and support learning plans.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment.

Education
