Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for full-time employment in Crossett, Arkansas. Reports To: Principal and Classroom Teacher

Terms of Employment: 180 days employment with benefits as specified in employee contract.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree, 60 college credit hours, or passing score on ParaPro Praxis exam

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide individual or small group instruction.
• Assist in implementing behavior management activities.
• Perform clerical duties which may include collection and recording of data, preparing classroom materials, and entering data into a computer program.
• Attend conferences, as deemed appropriate/necessary.
• Attend appropriate training sessions. If applicable, annually obtain specified number of professional development hours.
• Accompany student to general education classroom, cafeteria, playground, restroom, and other locations on the school campus.
• Participate in community based instruction activities.
• Conduct student programming assessments and/or screenings, per instrument administration guidelines/evaluator qualifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Job Functions:

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or shoulders, bending, squatting.
