Position

Paraprofessional 1-1 Unit Aide – 7.25 hours per day

Qualifications

• Must possess Parapro licensure/certification; must complete and pass BCII and FBI background checks.
• Provide consistent support for behavior regulation by implementing behavior intervention strategies and reinforcing positive behaviors.
• Facilitate communication by supporting the use of communication systems or tools as directed by speech-language or educational staff.
• Support engagement in classroom activities by encouraging participation, providing prompts, and helping the student stay focused.
• Assist with transitions between activities, environments, or staff to help the student feel prepared and supported throughout the day.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and support staff to maintain consistency in routines, expectations, and student support strategies.
