LOCATION OF WORK: Huntley High School

STARTING DATE: 2025 / 2026 School Year

WORK HOURS: 10 Months / Full-Time

RANGE OF PAY: $16.75 - $18.00 / Hour. Additional stipend of $1.25 for 1:1.

CLASSIFICATION: HESPA

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist student with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routine. Will assist the student in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Will aid the student and teacher to ensure success of the student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or hold a teaching license indicative of completion of at least a bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 60 hours of college credit preferred. Applicant must be physically able to assist student throughout the building. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed. Experience with special needs children preferred. Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students.
