Job description

Details of the position include:

  1. Type of Work: Paraprofessional – 1:1 Aide
  2. Location: LIGHT Program
  3. Starting Date: Immediately
  4. Work Hours: 10 Months / Full-Time
  5. Pay Range: $16.75 - $18.00 per hour. Additional stipends may be available based on assignment.
  6. Benefits: HESPA, IMRF, Voluntary Retirement, Insurance
  7. Classification: HESPA

Summary of Responsibilities: Assist students with special needs throughout the school day, supporting academics and daily routines. Help students follow a strict schedule and ensure safety. Support students and teachers in meeting IEP goals. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good communication skills, basic math and computer skills, and general office skills are required.
